The nightsky forms an infinite expanse of deepest teal in the early hours before dawn. A chorus of songbirds, cuckoos, and the fluttering of leaves in the breeze...

Soaring before us are the splendid columns of gigantic Scots Pine, towering over oak and ash, as if holding up the sky.

Their distant canopies fan out like the spines of a dandelion clock. There’s comfort & safety in being small, like an ant going about its work, safe, harboured in his own little world, as in this moment, we are in ours.

At the centre of this village, accessible only through a series of turreted drawbridges guarded by footmen, Falcons & Great Irish Wolfhounds, is Ireland’s Neuschwanstein, Ashford Castle.

Inside its walled grounds every tree carries this unique iridescent moss, the texture of a dragon’s skin.
